Summer Internships

FCS Urban Ministries hosts summer internship for young adults ages 18 to 24 years old interested in serving in an urban, multicultural environment. The FCS internships are a unique opportunity for students to learn about community development, the urban context and God’s heart for the city.

The 2012 summer internships take place from May 25, 2012 through July 22, 2012. Interns serve throughout the FCS Collective with our summer camps, community economic development and housing program. Interns are placed based on their interests and skill sets. In addition to the work, interns participate in trainings with veteran urban leaders and practitioners. Interns live in our target communities and serve alongside our ministry partners.

Summer internships are unpaid and each intern is asked to raise $1000 to help cover their costs for the summer. Housing is provided for the summer.

Internship positions are limited, and applications for the summer of 2012 are due by April 15, 2012.
