From Vision to Reality: Brownsville Pointe is Official

Since 2019, FCS and neighbors in Historic South Atlanta have dreamed about what this corner could become. Now, that dream is moving forward! We are thrilled to announce that we officially closed the construction loan on Brownsville Pointe.

Located in the heart of Historic South Atlanta, this project is more than just buildings. It’s a new “front door” for the neighborhood. We are transforming a long-term vacant and blighted gas station site into a healthy, vibrant mixed-use development designed with our neighbors in mind.

What’s coming:

  • 18 New Apartment Units: Featuring 12 dedicated affordable units to ensure our residents have high-quality, stable housing in the community they love.
  • 1,790 sq. ft. of Commercial Space: A brand-new launchpad designed specifically for an aspiring entrepreneur to grow their business right here at home.
  • Community Health: By cleaning up and remediating an old industrial site, we are prioritizing environmental health and safety for everyone in the area.

This milestone is the result of years of persistence and the power of deep-rooted partnership. We want to extend a massive thank you to the following organizations for their commitment to Historic South Atlanta: Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF), Invest Atlanta, The City of Atlanta Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund, Purpose Built Catalyst Fund, and Atlanta Beltline, Inc.

We also want to thank those not specifically mentioned who initiated the vision, as well as the many other partners and community members who have worked alongside FCS since 2019 to make this project possible. Our residents deserve a vibrant, healthy, and affordable place to call home, and we are honored to help bring it to life.
